How accurate is this ring size calculator?

Results are estimates based on standard sizing charts. Fit can vary by band width, metal, and manufacturer, so always confirm with the retailer before purchasing.

What if my measurement falls between two sizes?

We show you the two nearest standard sizes so you can decide, rather than silently rounding to one.

Does band width affect my size?

Yes — wider bands (roughly 6mm or more) sit more snugly against the finger, so many jewelers recommend going up about half a size compared to a thin band.

What is the best time of day to measure?

Fingers are typically largest later in the day and in warm weather. Measure a few times and use the more common result for a more reliable estimate.

Can I use a paper strip or string to size a ring?

Yes — wrap a thin strip of paper or non-stretchy string around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, then measure that length with a ruler. That gives you a circumference measurement you can enter in "I measured my finger" mode. It's a solid at-home estimate, though not as precise as an in-person jeweler's sizer.
