"Men's ring size" simply refers to the range of sizes most commonly worn by men (roughly US/Canada 7 to 13), which is why we've filtered the chart below to that range for quicker scanning.

Wide bands and men's rings

Men's rings — wedding bands and signet rings especially — are frequently wider than women's rings, and width changes fit.

A band roughly 6mm or wider sits against more of the finger than a thin band, which makes it feel tighter at the same nominal size. Many jewelers recommend sizing up about half a size for wide bands compared to a thin band. If you're between two sizes and choosing a wide band, the larger size is usually the safer choice.

Should wedding bands be sized differently than other rings?

The sizing system is identical, but wedding bands and signet rings are often wider than everyday rings, and a wider band fits more snugly at the same nominal size. If your measurement falls between two sizes, consider sizing up for a wide band.
